Sunflower Child Daycare
Where Learning and Joy Blossom Together
About us
Where Every Child Blooms!
Welcome to 🌻 Sunflower Child Daycare

Located in Damascus 🏘, Gaithersburg🏘, and Germantown🏘, Maryland, we provide care for children within our local communities.

We are committed to providing the best level of care and education, including part-time (Tuesday and Thursday or Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) or full-time Eastern European bilingual (English-Russian) immersion programs (depending on location).
We assist children with potty training and work with families as a team to ensure success. Home-made, freshly cooked meals are provided 4 times per day. Nutrition is essential to the young body’s development; therefore, we strictly use non-processed products and cook everything from scratch every day with great love.

Each location is licensed for up to 8 children, allowing us to maintain small group sizes.

Discover the joy of learning in a clean and safe environment for ages 12 months to 6 years. Our program philosophy is to respect each child’s individualized pattern and timing of learning and growth. Our curriculum includes weekly lessons in yoga, music, speech, art, languages, and more.

We have specialized instructors/teachers who come additionally to conduct classes in yoga, music, and speech. We consider each child's personality, learning style, interests, culture, logic, and family background, which are central to daily interactions and curriculum direction. We work to develop caring, respectful, and responsive relationships with children from infancy through preschool by partnering with families to support a child’s growth and development.
The Benefits of a Bilingual, Immersion Education
There are myriad options for parents who want their children to learn a second (or third or fourth) language, from bilingual schools. However, the most successful way to become proficient in another language is through immersion. In an immersion setting, students are taught core subjects in a target language. The most effective model of immersion is full immersion, in which the target language is weighted heavier in the early years.
